Psalms

Psalms are helpful in giving us language to express our grief and our painful emotions.  A variety of Psalms are provided here, suitable for use in hospitals or hospice environments, as well as throughout the funeral liturgy.

FuneralChaplain's note: I've provided this text in the King James Version because this tends to be the more familiar translation for most people.  You might wish to check with your funeral home and see if they can print this passage on the prayer cards that are often distributed.  This allows for a corporate reading of the Psalm, and includes those who might not have it committed to memory.

or you brought forth the earth and the world,
from everlasting to everlasting you are God.
